National Egyptian museum & its treasury

Our first stop will be at The National Egyptian Museum The present building of the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities was constructed by a French architect Marcel Dourgnon in the neo-classical style more than 100 years ago. It contains many important pieces of ancient Egyptian history and houses the world's largest collection of Pharaonic antiquities as well as the major treasures of King Tutankhamen tomb, which was discovered on 4th November 1922 by Howard Carter. We will discover three main collections of the museum such as Old kingdom, Middle kingdom, New kingdom plus king Tut Anch Amun collection. We will spend around 2,5 hours in the museum.

    Nile River exploration

After the museum visit we will take 45 minutes Nile boat ride. The activity is optional and costs 10£ per person. If you do not want to participate you can wait for the rest of the group in the bus. We will enjoy with the sailing along the Nile, warm breeze and panoramic views of the city. Amazing pictures from the Nile are guaranteed. The boat will take us to the restaurant which is situated at the Nile river bank.

Lunch will be offered in a local restaurant on set menu basis, but you can choose between options available plus dessert. You can choose either fish or chicken. We’d recommend choosing chicken as the portion will be bigger. Kindly note that drinks are not included in the cost of your lunch, so if you want to order something refreshing there will be an extra charge.

    The Pyramids & The Sphinx

After lunch we will cross the Nile and move to Giza Plateau to explore the area and to discover one of the seven wonders of the ancient world The great pyramid of Cheops! Do you know that The great pyramid of king Cheops is the only survived wonder from the seven wonders of the ancient world? Also we will have a look at other pyramids of the area: the pyramid of Chephren and the pyramid of Mycerinus, as well as small pyramids of the queens. We will enter to a tomb of workers recently discovered at the plateau and finally end our tour at Sphinx and its valley temple. Do you know that Sphinx was buried in sand for most of his existence?

Cairo Sound and Light show reviews

We booked Cairo by air with sound and light show, Ras Mohammed Boat Trip, Submarine Trip and Star Gazing. I like most people was a bit worried about booking online, so I phoned Sharm Club on arrival and they came to the hotel to sort everything out with us. Cairo by air was by far the best part of our holiday and Sharif is an excellent guide. I recommend paying the extra at the museum to see the mummies, even our 7 year old daughter thought these were absolutely amazing. I also recommend paying the extra to go inside the main pyramid its tiring but worth it. Unfortunately my Wife fell ill at the pyramids and did not want to stay for the sound and light show. Sharif tried his hardest at the airport to get us on an earlier flight without success but you could tell he was genuinely trying his best to help. Thank you once again Sharif. The other excursions were also very well organised and worth every penny especially the star gazing, we now have fabulous pictures of the Moon and Saturn. If you do the Ras Mohammed boat trip you may also be as fortunate as me and get to see a Sea Turtle whilst snorkeling. When we had our last trip the manager of Sharm Club phoned the cab driver so he could speak to me and asked if we enjoyed all the excursions and wished us a pleasant stay for the rest of our holiday I thought this was a very nice touch.

Have just got back from a two week holiday in Sharm. It was my first visit to Egypt, but visiting Cairo was something i certainly wanted to do. I found Sharm Club's website and liked what i saw, however i was cautious to book in advance off a website.. but people ITS THE RIGHT THING TO DO. This is an excellent excursion company. We done the Cairo day trip by air (inc Sound and Light show) Its was without doubt the best day of our holiday. Its a long day, but Sharm Club make it worth every minute. Our guide was Sheriff, his knowledge base, warm personality and fluent English make him an A* Guide. After assessing prices whilst in Sharm, i can confirm that Sharm clubs are very competitive, and worth every penny when evaluating the experience and the all round professionalism of Sharm Club. VISIT CAIRO, LOOK NO FURTHER THAN SHARM-CLUB.COM WHEN BOOKING - YOU WONT REGRET!!! Have already recommended Sharm Club to 3 people i know are visiting Sharm this year (I have only been back 2 days!!), Thanks for a great day Sheriff!! Billy & Allan, London.

I booked the Cairo Day with Sound and Light Show (by flight) and had an absolutely amazing day! Best of my holiday! I was a little bit cautious at first as I found Sharm Club online, but there was no reason at all to be worried! My trip was at the beginning of June 09 and our guide was Sharif. Don't think anyone could ask for a better guide! So informative, friendly and entertaining too! Will definitely recommend to friends visiting Sharm and to anyone considering booking.

We went to Cairo on 19/02/09 choosing option 2 with the Sound and Light show. It was a really good day and we have wonderful memories and photos. Sherif the guide was excellent, highly recommended. He took so many photos for us and explained the history so well and enthusiastically both in the egyptian museum and at the pyramids. He knew exactly how to make the day run smoothly and successfully. Thanks Sherif. We also arranged tranfers between the airport and the hotel through Sharm Club and these were excellent and reasonably priced.

Just returned from Sharm El Sheikh having booked two trips (Cairo and Quad Biking) after reading the comments and reviews contained in this guest book, before this entry. They are all so accurate and won't hesistate booking them next time from the UK before we go. The Cairo trip we went on was made extra special by our guide Sheriff who is very knowlegable and passionate about the history of his Country. He is also very caring of his 'friends' who attends his tours. He could not have done more for us. He took photos for us and held bags while we went in the second pyramid. He raced to get the best seats at the sound and light show and gave valuable hints and tips on how we could best enjoy a hassle free day. I would highly recommend Sharm-Club for booking you trips. Thank you very much. See you next year.
