Cairo excursion to the pyramids and Nile cruise holidays from Luxor to Aswan with departure from your Hurghada hotel will let you explore Upper Egypt, its ancient tombs, temple and monuments. We will visit Luxor and Aswan, Kom Ombo and Edfu, Karnak temple and Abu Simbel during our 5* Nile cruise holiday from Hurghada.
Our 5 day Nile cruise holiday and the pyramids excursion from Hurghada begins with a group tour on a comfortable air-conditioned bus to Luxor. Our representative will pick you up from any hotel in Hurghada as scheduled upon booking and transfer to the place of meeting with the group. Night transfer to Luxor on a comfortable air-conditioned bus. Transfer to Luxor can take up to 4 hours. Our English speaking guide will be waiting for you in Luxor upon arrival.
The tour begins with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon. The next stop at the funeral temple of Queen Hatshepsut (Deir al-Bahari temple), the most beautiful temple in the necropolis, and the queen herself is one of the most prominent figures in ancient Egyptian history. Next, we will visit the Valley of the Kings - this is a remote valley located deep in the limestone mountains northwest of Deir al-Bahari. Your visit includes the entrance to 3 tombs, however, if you want to see the tomb of Pharaoh Tutankhamun or Ramses VI, then the ticket will need to be bought separately.
In the afternoon check in our Nile cruise ship and lunch on board, some rest and continue city tour. Our goal is Karnak Temple - this great national monument of Egypt is unparalleled. In this place we will spend about three hours. Return to the boat for dinner and evening entertainment, overnight in Luxor.
After an early breakfast on the boat visit the Luxor Temple. This beautiful temple was built on the east bank of the Nile by Amenhotep the third or “Magnificent”. The temple was dedicated to the Theban triad: the great god Amon-Ra, his wife Mut and their son Khonsu. After lunch we will sail to Esna. The distance from Luxor to Esna is about 55 km. Let's enjoy the beautiful views of the Egyptian village while we sail towards the Esna locks. After passing through the gateway, which may take several hours, we continue our journey towards Edfu. The distance to the destination is about 65 km. Lunch and dinner on board. Night and evening entertainment programs.
In the morning after breakfast we will go to the temple of Horus in Edfu, but to get to the temple we will need to take a cab, which will take us to the temple. The whole temple is decorated with beautiful bas-reliefs. This is one of the most beautiful and, of course, the best preserved monuments of ancient Egypt. There is no ancient monument in the world that could correspond to it.
After visiting the temple, we will return to the ship and continue our journey to Kom Ombo. In the afternoon, visit the double temple in Kom Ombo - the temple of Sobek and Horus, and then the crocodile museum. After visiting, we will continue sailing to Aswan. Lunch and dinner will be served on board. Available night and evening entertainment.
In the early morning after breakfast, we will begin our tour of the city of Aswan. We will visit the New Aswan Dam, which is located 6.5 km south of the Old Aswan Dam, built in 1902 and subsequently enlarged 2 more times. Then we will take a motor boat and go to the island with its monuments of Nubia (additional excursion, paid separately).
Our next goal will be the pearl of Upper Egypt, the beautiful little island of Philae. Let's take a motor boat and sail along Naser lake for 15 minutes to get to the unusual temple of Isis located on the island of Philae. The temples, once located on this island, were dismantled due to the advancing waters of Lake Nasser and re-installed on another island called Agilika, just north of Philae. This is the place we are visiting these days.
Lunch on board of our boat and an optional excursion to the Botanical Garden can be arranged. The island on which the garden is located is one of the oldest gardens in the world and includes a rare collection of tropical plants collected from around the world. Dinner, night and evening entertainment on board the ship in Aswan.
You can plan this day as you wish. The following places are available for visiting (paid separately). In the early morning you can go to the famous huge temples of Abu Simbel or visit the island of Elephantine or the Museum of Nubia. The temples of Abu Simble can be reached both by car and by plane.
In the evening, transfer to Aswan railway station and a night train (double cabin) to Cairo.
In the morning, upon arrival in Giza, a meeting with a guide and breakfast in the city (optionally, aditional charge). After breakfast transfer to the pyramids. Sightseeing tour of the Giza plateau, a visit to the pyramid of Cheops, Mekerin and Chefren, the Sphinx and its temple. Lunch in the city at a local restaurant and continue our Cairo tour.
