Cairo to Bahariya Oasis and Black Desert Exploration

We will depart from Cairo at 7 am. Let's embark on our journey to Bahariya Oasis, a lush desert oasis surrounded by palm groves and golden sand dunes. Our driver will pick up you at 7 am from your Cairo hotel, the distance to the oasis is around 360 km. Estimated arrival time 12:00 pm. Upon arrival in Bahariya Oasis we will switch to a 4x4 Land Cruiser, perfect for desert exploration.

Our adventure begins with a visit to the Black Desert, an ancient volcanic region with dark hills and black basalt stones scattered across the landscape. Some stops to explore and enjoy the unique scenery of this volcanic wonder. Next we will head to a local Bedouin village where you’ll enjoy a traditional lunch and take a short rest to immerse yourself in the tranquil atmosphere and hospitality of the Bedouin culture.

Continue the journey to Crystal Mountain, where you find magnificent glittering quartz crystals embedded in the rock. It’s a natural landmark that reflects the desert’s geological history. Next we drive off-road into the Al Agabat area, an awe-inspiring desert landscape featuring limestone formations and golden sand dunes. Here, for your first night under the stars, we'll set up a camp, surrounded by serene beauty. Enjoy a delicious dinner by the campfire and sip on aromatic Bedouin tea while gazing at the starlit sky.

Magic Spring Adventure, Big Valley and the White Desert

Our day we start with a hearty breakfast. Enjoy some free time to explore the surroundings of Al Agabat on foot and appreciate the desert's beauty and tranquility. Now we are going to visit the Magic Spring, an ancient Roman spring located in the heart of the desert. This water source is a fascinating reminder of the desert’s history and human resilience. Followed by a tour to the Big Valley - a picturesque area surrounded by natural palm trees. Relish a relaxing lunch under the shade of these trees, offering a serene break in the middle of the desert. Let's take a short rest before continuing our journey.

After lunch we will continue our journey and drive into the White Desert, famous for its dazzling white chalk formations that resemble sculptures shaped by wind and sand. Here we will explore the unique rock formations that resemble mushrooms, camels, and other fascinating shapes. After the tour of the White desert we will cross back to Agabat valley to set up camp there and spend one more night in the desert. Enjoy another evening of traditional Bedouin tea and dinner under the magical desert sky.

Return to Cairo

Witness a breathtaking sunrise over the desert, a truly unforgettable experience. After a light breakfast in the serene atmosphere we will move back to Bahariya Oasis, where you’ll catch up with your vehicle for the journey back to Cairo.
