Cairo Alexandria 3 Days Tour from Sharm El Sheikh

Overnight excursion to Cairo followed by full day Alexandria city exploration from Sharm el Sheikh by plane.

Transfer from Sharm el Sheikh to Cairo

We do pick up from any hotel in Sharm el Sheikh. Pick up from your hotel and transfer by a/c van to Sharm el Sheikh International Airport. Flight to Cairo will take 50 minutes. Our English speaking guide will be waiting for you upon arrival outside the main arrival hall of Cairo airport with the sign "Sharm-club.com".

The National Egyptian museum visit

Let's start our day with The National Egyptian Museum visit. The Egyptian Museum of Antiquities contains many important pieces of ancient Egyptian history. It houses the world's largest collection of Pharaonic antiquities, and many treasures of King Tutankhamen. The present building of the museum constructed by a French architect is situated in Tahrir Square and is already more than 100 years old. We will discover the main collections of the museum such as Old kingdom, Middle kingdom, New kingdom and king Tut Anch Amun collection. We will spend around 2,5 hours in the museum.

Nile felluca boat ride

After the museum we will take 45 minutes Nile boat ride. We will enjoy with the sailing along the Nile, warm breeze and panoramic views of the city.

Lunch in a local restaurant

Lunch will be offered in a local restaurant on set menu basis, but you can choose between options available. Vegetarian options are also available.

Pyramids & Sphinx ecursion

Let's move to Giza Plateau after lunch to explore the area and to discover one of the seven wonders of the world: The great pyramid of Cheops! Other pyramids of the area will be visited as well: the pyramid of Chephren and the pyramid of Mycerinus. We will end our tour in Pyramids area after visiting Sphinx and its valley temple.

Shopping in Cairo

At the end of the day we will get a chance for shopping in the area around the Pyramids. Visit of papyrus institute, perfume palace or cotton fabric will be available.

Overnight in a cozy hotel

At the end of the day we will drive you to The Oasis hotel, 4* on BB basis, where you will spend a night. Optionally in the evening you can do the following: Nile Cruise & Dinner with Tanura show and belly dance on a floating hotel or Watch Sound & Light show at the Pyramids.

Citadel exploration

In the morning after breakfast, our guide will pick up you to start your new day in Cairo. We will move to Cairo Citadel and discover Alabaster Mosque of Mohammed Ali, have a walking tour inside the Citadel and its numerous museums and palaces and end up with fantastic panorama over Cairo city.

Lunch time

Lunch in a local restaurant in the city will be offered on open buffer basis.

Old Cairo visit

We will end our day with a tour in Old Cairo where many old churches such as "Hanging church, St. Sergio church and St. Barbara church are located. Jewish temple - synagogue of Ben Ezra, Amr Eben Al Aas mosque - the 1st mosque ever build in Egypt and roman fort Babylon are also on the spot. All these monuments you will find in one place.

Overnight in the hotel

At the end of the day we will drive you to The Oasis hotel, 4* on BB basis, where you will spend one more night.

Transfer from Cairo to Alexandria

In the morning after breakfast, our guide will pick up you and you will start your way to Alexandria. The distance between Cairo and Alexandria 220 km, so it may take up to 3 hours to reach the city. On the way you will enjoy with the views of the desert as well as different plants which farmers grow in the desert: banana, peaches, oranges, strawberry.

Roman sites visit

We will start the day with visiting the only Roman amphitheater in Egypt, dating back to the second century AD, discovered by chance in 1960 by Egyptian-polish expedition in Kom el-Dekka. Then move to Pompey pillar which was constructed in honor of Diocletian in 292 AD. Crusaders gave the name to this pillar "Pompey's" because they wrongly thought that the head of Pompey was buried on the top of pillar. Originally this column was taken from a magnificent temple of Serapis. It's made of rose granite, has a Corinthian style capital and it was with its base 26,85 meters high

Catacombs of Kom al Shukafa tour

Catacombs of Kom-Shukafa these tombs were discovered by chance in Karmoz aria in 1900 after 12 years of searching. The tomb dated back to the 1 st or 2 nd century and consists of 4 underground floors. The 1 st and the 3 rd floors are completely under the water. The most significant feature of this tomb is the existence of paintings on its walls that represent the overlap of three different kinds of art Egyptian, Greek and Roman.

The National Museum of Alexandria

Then we will visit National Museum of Alexandria which is situated in a palace of Bassil Pasha, the museum has 1,800 objects on display now.

Back to Sharm el Sheikh

At the end of the day we will drive back to Cairo by a/c van to catch your flight back to Sharm el Sheikh. In Sharm el Sheikh our rep will meet you and transfer to your hotel.
