Abu Simbel Aswan tour from Luxor is an individual excursion for those who have always dreamed of visiting the ancient temples of Abu Simbel. Since this place is outside of the main tourist routes, we have specially designed this two-day trip to enjoy at once two beautiful places in Upper Egypt.

On the way to Aswan

Individual two-day excursion to Aswan and Abu Simbel on a comfortable air-conditioned micro-bus from your hotel in Luxor begins early in the morning with a transfer to the ancient city of Aswan. Our English speaking representative will meet you at your hotel and then transfer to Aswan, the journey may take up to 3 hours.

Philae island tour

Upon arrival in Aswan, we will first visit a beautiful Philae island and its amazing temple of Isis. To get to the island, we will take a local motorboat and sail for 20 minutes along Naser lake. On the island you will spend about two hours exploring the temples, chapels and other ancient architectural monuments located here.

Elephantine island walking tour

Then we move back to Aswan, let's cross the Nile and go to another island known as Elephantine. It is located directly opposite the Old Cataract Hotel across the river. Nubians live on this small island, but along their settlement, archeological excavations are constantly conducted. The temples and fortresses found on this island are significantly different from those that were built elsewhere in Egypt. Moreover, it is here that 2 Nilometers are located! One very ancient and not working already, but still with a visible scale, and the second, built during the Islamic conquest of Egypt, still measures the level of the river.

Visit to the Nubia Museum

Let's return to Aswan, have lunch at a local restaurant and take a break for a few hours at our hotel. In the evening, we will go to the wonderful museum dedicated to the history of a unique, but unfortunately, lost for all civilization, Nubia. In the museum we will spend about two hours and then return to our hotel to have a good rest and gain strength for a new trip.

Abu Simbel tour

Early in the morning, around 3 am departure from the hotel and transfer on a comfortable micro-bus with air conditioning to Abu Simbel (trip under escort, arrival time at 6 am). A visit to the two temples of Abu Simbel - the big temple of Ramses II, the smaller temple of his beloved wife Nefertari. Walking tour along the temples and vicinity.

Back to Luxor

After completing our tour we will go back to Luxor. The journey may take up to 5 hours. Transfer to your hotel.
