Cairo Luxor Tour with Hot Air Balloon from Sharm El Sheikh is a two days air excursion to visit the Pyramids Sphinx, Karnak temples Valley of the kings, Egyptian museum of antiquities Queen Hatshepsut temple.
The tour depending on the option you choose can start either from Cairo or Luxor. If you want to do Hot-air balloon over Luxor than you have to take the tour which starts from Luxor. Kindly note that for solo traveler there is a single room supplement of 25£. During this two days tour we will discover many historical places and ancient Egyptian temples and tombs, so be ready for new discoveries and some walking around.
You do not need to worry about transfers as we do pickups from any hotel in Sharm el Sheikh. We will pick up from your hotel in Sharm el Sheikh. as per the time stated in your invoice, as a rule between 04:45 am and 05:15 am depending on your hotel location. Our representative will transfer you by a/c van to Sharm el Sheikh International Airport, will give you some instructions so you will catch your flight to the chosen destination. Fly to Luxor or Cairo takes just 50 minutes. Our English speaking guide will be waiting for you outside the arrival hall of Luxor/Cairo airport with the sign "sharm-club.com".
In Luxor we will start our day with the west Thebes visit. On the way to the Valley of the Kings we will have a short stop at Colossi of Memnon to take some pictures with these gigantic statues. the Valley of the Kings visit includes entrance to 2 different tombs, so you can get an idea about Pharaonic funerary art. If you want to visit King Tutankhamen tomb, it will cost extra 150 LE per person. Then magnificent temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari.
Lunch in a local restaurant in Luxor on set menu basis will be offered.
After lunch we'll go to the East bank to explore huge temples of Karnak which are considered to be the largest religious structure in the world. This great national monument of Egypt has no equal. It is not a single temple, but temple within temple, shrine within shrine, where almost all the pharaohs, particularly of the new Kingdom, wished to record their names & deeds for posterity.
Nile felucca ride to Banana island to discover a vast collection of banana plants, to enjoy sailing along the Nile and to observe a beautiful Upper Egyptian countryside and its islands is offered optionally.
At the end of the day we will drive you to 5* Steigenberger Nile Palace hotel (on BB basis) where you will spend the night.
Optionally in the evening you can either Watch Sound & Light show at Karnak Temple or Visit Luxor Temple.
Our wonderful day will start with early wake up at 4.30 am. At 5.00 am pick up from the hotel and sail toward the west bank of Luxor by boat. You will have an amazing ride of hot air balloon over Luxor, you will watch spectacular sunrise as you have never seen before, you will enjoy with the tranquility and peace while having a unique viewpoint which is only provided by hot air balloon. After the ride you will get a certificate and T-Shirt of Hot Air Balloon Ride. Hot-Air balloon ride takes 45 minutes. You will be back to your hotel around 7:30 am.
After breakfast transfer to Luxor airport to catch your flight to Cairo. It will take around 50 minutes to reach the city. Upon arrival our English speaking guide will be waiting for you outside the arrival hall of Cairo International airport with the sign "sharm-club.com". Transfer to the city.
From the airport we will go to downtown where The National Egyptian Museum is situated. You could spend a month in this vast, fusty and cavernous museum and barely scratch the surface. The building of the museum constructed by a French architect was built over 100 years ago and hosts more than 120 000 artifacts. The most famous collection of Tutankhamun includes clothes, funerary couches, golden sarcophagi and statues to canopic jars containing the boy king’s internal organs. Tut’s death mask, 11kg of solid gold with details in lapis lazuli, obsidian and quartz. Don’t miss the royal mummy room with 11 of Egypt’s most celebrated rulers laid out for the passing parade (optional visit extra 100 LE), or the animal mummies exhibit where royal pets from cats and dogs to crocodiles are preserved. The ancient Egyptian jewellery room is also astonishing.
After the museum we can take an optional 45 minutes Nile boat ride. We will enjoy with the sailing along the Nile, warm breeze and panoramic views of the city. Felucca will bring us directly to the restaurant where we will have our lunch. Lunch will be offered in TGI Fridays on set menu basis, you can choose between options available (chicken or fish) plus the dessert. Kindly note that all drinks are with extra charge.
After lunch we will cross the Nile to discover Giza Plateau. There are around 100 pyramids in Egypt, but The great pyramid of Cheops in Giza is the only survivor of the seven wonders of the ancient world. There are around 10 pyramids in Giza plateau. The two smaller – but still huge – pyramids in Giza are those of Khafre and Menkaure. A few steps to the east you will notice three small (20 m high) piles of rumble: the queens’ pyramids, tombs of Khufu's wives and sisters. Although climbing the pyramids is no longer permitted, you can walk right around them, take a camel ride between them and even go inside to the main chambers (providing you don’t suffer from claustrophobia as the entry tunnels are narrow, steep and hot). We will end up our tour in Pyramids area after visiting Sphinx and its valley temple.
At the end of the day we will get a chance for shopping in the area around the Pyramids before going back to the airport. Visit of papyrus institute, perfume palace or cotton fabric will be available. At the end of the day transfer to Cairo airport and from there fly back to Sharm El Sheikh. Our rep will meet you in Sharm el Sheikh airport and drive to your hotel.
