Explore Cairo in 5 days and discover its Pyramids, tombs and Temples, visit Dashur and Saqqara, enter inside the pyramids of Giza and workers tombs, come close to Step Pyramid in Saqqara and visit famous Citadel of Saladdin.

Arrival in Cairo

Arrival Cairo International airport, meet and assist, transfer to the hotel. You can choose to stay either at Movempic hotel on HB (10 minutes far from the Pyramids) or the Oasis hotel 4* also not far from the Pyramids. Free day at leisure.

Cairo main tour

After breakfast transfer to the Pyramids and visit the Pyramids and the sphinx, some newly opened tombs are also available to discover. Tour of the Pyramids and Sphinx may take up to 3 hours. Lunch in the city in a local restaurant. Nile boat ride in the afternoon and then visit to the National Egyptian Museum at Tahrir square. Here you can discover some interesting world famous collections including Tutankhamon gold sarcophagi and Animal Mummies hall is not to be missed as well. In the evening transfer back to the hotel. Optionally you can watch Sound and Light show at the Pyramids at 8 pm.

Saqqara & Memphis tour

After breakfast in the hotel we will move to Saqqara necropolis. Here we have chance to discover Imhotep Museum which is completely dedicated to the findings at the necropolis. Then tour around the Step pyramid of Zosser and his complex. Visit to the newly opened Pyramid of Unas, which is situated behind the complex of Zosser and move to the Pyramid of Teti, which you can enter as well. Here we can also explore some private tombs and enter Old Kingdom tombs. Then we’ll move to the Tomb of a sacred Apis bulls, known as the Serapium (requires extra ticket if you want to visit). When we finish exploring Saqqara necropolis let’s move forward to Mit Rahina or Memphis city. During this part of our tour we’ll also find some interesting artifacts including the colossus of Ramses II. Back to your hotel after the tour. Lunch in the city and some rest before evening activity. In the evening optionally you can visit Wakalat Bazaar for Tanura or Zekr sufi dance show.

Abu Sir and Dashur exploration

Next morning after breakfast we’ll again move towards Saqqara but this time let’s visit some new pyramids of the area. First of all we’ll have a stop at Abu Sir (if opened) and see some of the pyramids in this area. The visitor can only sees 3 pyramids from a distance, that of Sahure (at the entrance to the site), the pyramid of Niuserre and the most intact the pyramid of Neferirkare. Although the pyramids are not well preserved, the whole Abu Sir site is worth a short trip from Cairo. There is a lot to see in Abu Sir, including beautiful engravings and artwork as well as awe inspiring architecture.

Then we will move to Dashur to visit 2 pyramids of the area, one of them is fully accessible! So we’ll not miss the chance to enter and explore it. Lunch in the city on the way back and back to the hotel. Free evening or optionally Oriental dinner with show on a floating boat – Nile cruise dinner is available

Citadel and Sultan Hasan complex

After breakfast let’s discover some Islamic parts of Cairo city and visit Citadel of Salah el Din and the area around it. In the Citadel now beside the main attraction - Mohammed Ali Alabaster mosque – we can visit Police Museum, Military museum in Harem Palace as well as Royal Carriages Museum. Down the Citadel big complex of Sultan Hasan including his mosque and madrasa is situated. Near it we will find a beautiful al-Refai mosque which is also available to visit. Lunch in the city in a local restaurant and move to The Old Cairo. Here we find : Fort Babylon, Coptic Museum (can be visited optionally) and some Christian churches plus Jewish Synagogue of Ben Azra. Back to the hotel.

Departure

On the day of your departure check out the hotel by 12 pm. Our driver will pick up you from the hotel reception 3 hours before your scheduled flight and will drive you to Cairo International airport to catch your flight home.
