Nile Cruise holiday with Cairo and Alexandria tour from Hurghada is a package tour where you experience Luxor to Aswan Nile Cruise holiday, visit ancient Egyptian cities of Aswan, Luxor, Kom Ombo, discover beautiful temples of Karnak and Hatshepsut and finally tour Cairo with its famous Pyramids and Sphinx, Alexandria and its catacombs.
A Nile cruise with excursions to Cairo and Alexandria from Hurghada begins with an excursion to Cairo by plane. The flight takes only 50 minutes.
Our city tour begins with a visit to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities. The visit lasts for 2.5 hours and includes a guided walking tour of the main halls of the museum where you will see artifacts and exhibits from the Old, Middle and New Kingdoms, see the sarcophagus collection and visit Tutankhamun Hall where his famous golden mask and golden sarcophagus are displayed. Don't forget to check out the renovated hall with the animal mummies.
Next we will have lunch at a local restaurant and transfer to Giza. Optional Nile felucca ride is available. Then let's visit Giza and its famous pyramids, the only survival of the Seven Wonders of the World! We will visit The Great Pyramid of Giza, Egyptian Pyramids and Great Sphinx of Giza and its temple. Then we will go up to the panorama and take stunning panoramic photos of the plateau with all three pyramids! A short stop at the foot of the third pyramid will allow you to peek inside it (for an optional extra fee) if it is available on the day of your visit.
In the evening transfer to our cozy 4* hotel on BB basis is available, standard DBL room accommodation. In the evening you can do some optional activities including Pyramids Sound and Light show or Evening Nile cruise with dinner.
In the morning after breakfast at hotel transfer to Alexandria, the journey may take up to 3 hours. The city tour will begin with a visit to the Roman sites:
Ancient Roman Theatre and its mosaics
Pompey's Pillar and srapeum of Alexandria
Catacombs of Kom el-Shoqafa
Qaitbay citadel
Lunch in town at local restaurant (drinks paid separately) and transfer back to Cairo, 4* hotel on breakfast basis.
Flight to Aswan in the morning and meet your guide. Our destination is the jewel of Upper Egypt, the beautiful little Philae island. To reach the extraordinary temples of Philae island, we will travel there by motorboat. The temples once located on this island have been dismantled due to the advancing waters of Lake Nasser and re-installed on another island called Agilika, just north of Philae. This is the place we are visiting these days. On the way we will have a photo stop at the Aswan High Dam.
In the afternoon, check in to the boat, lunch on board and free time. Dinner, night and evening entertainment on board the ship in Aswan.
In the morning (departure at 6am) you can take an optional excursion to Abu Simbel Temples and visit two world-famous temples: the Great Temple of Ramses II and the smaller temple of his wife Nefertari (payable separately). Morning you can spend at leisure on the board of our ship. In the afternoon the boat will sail to Kom Ombo. Visit to the double Temple of Kom Ombo - temple of Sobek and Horus, followed by the Crocodile Museum visit. After the tour, lunch on board and we continue our journey to Edfu. Overnight on the boat in Edfu.
In the morning a tour to Edfu temple of Horus, to get to the temple we will need to take a local carriage which will take us to the temple. The whole temple is decorated with beautiful bas-reliefs. It is one of the most beautiful and certainly the best preserved monuments of ancient Egypt. There is no ancient monument in the world that can match it. At the end of the tour return to the ship and continue our cruise towards Luxor. Arrival in Luxor by noon.
Excursion to Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple. Lunch on the boat and free time. In the evening an optional activity to watch Sound & Light show at Karnak Temple is available. Overnight on the ship.
Check out the boat at 8 a.m. After breakfast excursion to the west bank of the Nile to ancient Thebes. Here we will visit the enormous statues of the Colossi of Memnon, then stop at Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut - this is the most beautiful temple in the necropolis, and the Queen herself is one of the brightest figures in ancient Egyptian history. Next we will visit the Valley of the Kings, a remote valley deep in the limestone mountains to the northwest of Deir el Bahari. Your visit includes entry to 3 tombs, however, if you want to see Tomb of Tut Ankh Amun or Tomb of Ramses VI KV9, you will need to buy a ticket separately.
After the tour let's get our lunch in town at a local restaurant and transfer to your hotel in Hurghada, the journey takes up to 3,5 hours, leaving no later than 6pm.
