Pick up in the early morning from any hotel in Hurghada. Should you wish to be picked up from other areas including Makadi Bay, Sahl Hashish, El-Gouna or Safaga additional transfer fee will be applied.
The distance between Cairo and Hurghada is 400 km (248 miles). The road distance is 462 km (287 miles). Transfer to Cairo by bus takes up to 5 hours drive by bus. The road from Hurghada to Cairo is perfect and safety. Arrival in Cairo around 8:30 am and meet with our English speaking Egyptology tour guide.
Day trips from Hurghada to Cairo by bus start with visiting the National Egyptian Museum which is situated on Tahrir square and is famous for its vast collection of rare Egyptian monuments and artifacts. The tour includes 2,5 hours walk around the museum’s halls where you will get information about different periods of Ancient Egyptian history, will see artifacts belonging to Old, Middle and New kingdoms. Visit to Tutankhamen room where his golden coffin and golden mask are exhibited. Visit to animal mummies hall and many other halls which will reveal you the ancient Egyptian mysteries.
After the museum we will have some refreshments and take a felucca tour (optional activity) along the Nile.
Hurghada to Cairo tours include lunch in a local restaurant on set menu basis. Drinks are ordered with extra charge. Lunch will take around one hour and after we’ll head for our main destination, the most famous place in the world – Pyramids of Giza.
Time to visit Giza plateau and its famous pyramids. The only survived wonder of the ancient world – The Great pyramid of Cheops is our main goal. Here we can spend some time walking around, entering inside (optional, extra ticket is required), climbing if possible or taking some wonderful pictures. Next let’s move to panorama playground where we can see all the pyramids together and take great panoramic pictures of the plateau together with three pyramids. Now time to discover smaller pyramids the one of Chephren and the smallest of three – the pyramid of Mycerinus. It is possible to enter both pyramids if they are open to public on the day of your visit, extra tickets will be required.
Our last stop will be at the bottom of the pyramid of Chephren where the Great Sphinx and his valley temple are located. Let’s enter the temple and walk along its ancient walls until we reach the Great Sphinx. As a bonus our trip includes the entrance into a newly discovered and opened to public workers tomb.
Now we finished exploring Cairo and have some time for shopping along its bazaars and shops.
After we will drive back to Hurghada. Estimated arrival time back to your hotel in Hurghada midnight.
