4-Day Luxor & Cairo Tour from Hurghada | Abydos & Dendera

Day 1: Hurghada to Luxor - Karnak and the Valley of the Kings

Your tour begins with hotel pickup in Hurghada and a group transfer to Luxor in an air-conditioned minivan. The road journey takes approximately four hours, depending on traffic and stops. Explore Karnak Temple, visit the Temple of Hatshepsut and enter three open tombs in the Valley of the Kings. Stop for photographs at the Colossi of Memnon, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and visit an alabaster workshop. At the end of the day, check in to your 4-star Luxor hotel for the first of two nights in a standard double room with breakfast.

Day 2: Deir el-Medina, Medinet Habu and Luxor Temple

Begin with an optional early-morning hot air balloon flight over Luxor, available at an additional cost, or enjoy breakfast at your hotel. Meet your guide for a closer look at the West Bank: discover Deir el-Medina, the village of the royal tomb builders, with its open tombs and Ptolemaic temple, then explore the decorated courtyards of Medinet Habu. Pause at the additional Colossi of Memnon before returning to the city for lunch. In the afternoon, visit Luxor Temple and walk along the Avenue of Sphinxes. Return to your Luxor hotel for a second overnight stay.

Day 3: Abydos and Dendera - Flight to Cairo

The third day is what sets this package apart. Travel to Abydos to visit the Temple of Seti I and see the Osireion, then continue to the Dendera Temple complex dedicated to Hathor. These visits extend your itinerary beyond the main sights of Luxor. After the excursions, return to Luxor for lunch and transfer to the airport for your flight to Cairo. On arrival, your driver will meet you and take you to a 5-star hotel for one night in a standard double room with breakfast.

Day 4: Giza Pyramids and Egyptian Museum - Return to Hurghada

After breakfast, meet your guide and head to the Giza Plateau to see the pyramids, the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple. Entry inside the pyramids is optional and costs extra. There is also an opportunity for local bazaar shopping or an optional Nile felucca ride before lunch at a local restaurant. Continue to the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square to explore its collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities; this itinerary visits the Egyptian Museum, rather than the Grand Egyptian Museum. After sightseeing, transfer to Cairo Airport for your included flight to Hurghada, where your driver will take you back to your hotel.
