Hello,
my girlfriend and I are staying in Sharks bay early june, and we are a bit undecided about whether we should go for cairo by air option 1, or cairo city tour. We ideally want to do a few excursions, so don't really want to spend too much on one day (although the itiniary looks amazing for the cairo by air tour)
Can anyone please let me know how long the car ride will take for the private tour? and what time we would be picked up / dropped off ?
thank you
Dave

Day trip to Cairo from Sharm El Sheik

Due to the volcanic drama we had decided not to book this trip in advance, so on arrival at our hotel in Sharks Bay we immediateley booked ourselves on and called the number given to confirm our places, the excellent service started from there! Within 90 minutes we had a very friendly representative visit us at the hotel and explain all we needed to know about the day trip and take payment. The day itself could not have been better, it included far more than any of the tour operators offers and was around £50 cheaper. It ran extremely smoothly and we felt looked after all day. As for Sharief the Sheriff the guy is brilliant, he has so much enthusiasm and passion for it all it really makes your day even more exciting! We cannot recommend this trip enough, do not even think of going with any of the others that give you half the activities for double the money and no where near the personality of the Sheriff! Thanks for a day we will always remember!!

Just writing to say what a great time we had in Egypt and what a wonderful service you gave us. Alex is your best rep and should be told. As a result I have posted a review on facebook and tripadvisor. As a result you now have two new customers. Keep up the good work.

Booked 2 day Luxor/Cairo 8/9 April 2010 on web in UK. No hastle just a deposit.Organisation was great everything well planned and explained when we got there. Both very full days with great guides, could not have been done better. George on Friday in Cairo was exceptional and did a great job of building our knowledge and understanding as well as maximising the time. Highly recommend Sharm Club-you will not get better

Having read previous entries I was keen to travel by air to Cairo with Sharm Club. Upon arrival we were met by Stephen who explained fully what the trip would involve so we were very excited. Firstly the day we had booked for had to be changed, and then we were told that the Sound and Light show would not be running. Upon arrival in Cairo we were split into 2 groups and ours was lead by (Ahmed - I think his name was) He was a nice guy but a lot of the time we were told to follow him without really knowing where we were going. The trip on the Nile was literally a quick spin covering about 200 metres, and then we ended up in a cafe even though all literature stated we would be having lunch in the hard rock cafe. We were told that there wasnt enough time to eat there! The food we were served was fine but it should not be stated that the trip includes lunch in the hard rock if it does not! The pyramids and Sphinx were amazing but the trip itself felt a bit disjointed. We also booked to do parasailling through Sharm Club, we were picked up at 10am but then brought back to our hotel as there wasnt enough wind. We were told we would be picked up at 12. When no-one had arrived by 12.30 we called Stephen and he came to pick us up and took us parasailing straight away. On the whole I found Sharm Club to be a disappointment but could not fault Stephen at all!

Arrived back from Sharm yesterday and have to say that Sharm Club are great! We booked our return taxi from the airport to hotel at just £20 ... well worth it. Malek met us at the airport and was fab. We'd prebooked the quad biking trip (sunset) and the Cairo by air option 1 and Malek came back to our hotel the next day so that we could pay.

We hadn't bought our visas in advance and Malek helped sort all this out for us at the airport when we went on the trip ... a word of warning, nothing can ever prepare anyone for the way the Egyptian's handle domestic flights ... its an experience to be had!!!!

George was our tour guide and was full of information, being an archaeologist very much helped.

We met some lovely families on the trip and I think everyone enjoyed the day ... Cairo is an experience in itself without even going to the Pyramids!!! Their driving is quite interesting to watch!

The quad biking is so worth the £15 you pay for it ... it lasts for a good two hours and would definitely recommend.

If I go back to Sharm, I would most definitely book excursions again with Sharm.

Another one to mention is Steven ... he picked us up at the hotel to go back to the airport and helped us on other occasions.

Thanks Sharm Club.

We booked through the Internet a trip to Cairo from sharm el sheikh with Sharm club. Only 5 GBP were needed to be paid as a deposit. Arrival at night. the next day a gentleman (Malek) met us in the reception and collected the rest of the money and we paid in Sterling allowing us not to loss money with exchange rates, and gave all the details you need to know about the trip. Our day started at 5.00am we were picked up on time, We arrived at Cairo and were meet by our guide for the day. First stop was the National Museum of Egypt, where we saw the collection of king tut and other antiquities that were so, Our guide explained everything very clearly and very much to the point. Next stop was a trip on the Nile and we had unforgettable photos, the boat trip was very relaxing, something between. Arrival at the restaurant (Hard Rock), the food was very nice and the stuff was so friendly then we went ahead to the Pyramids, again Our guide did a good job of explaining everything about the Pyramids and the sphinx and we were left to walk around, take pictures, and go on either camels or horses around the surrounding areas, but the camel man was so greedy. After the Sphinx we went to a Perfume factory that was also interesting and also a Papyrus Museum, we were shown how the papyrus is made and the sellers were so helpful explaining about these photos "they push somehow but in a nice way".
At last back to the airport for the journey back. Little bit tired but it really worth it.
We talked to Malek then who convinced us of going with him on the star gazing trip, which was the best ever in Egypt, camel riding so exciting, Malek was so friendly, funny, kind, genial, civilized and so knowledgeable about the desert beduin life.
He took plenty of photos for everyone, even for others who didn’t book with sharm club, (we found out that a lot of excursions offices book this tour and pay for sharm club to handle the trip for them). Dinner was very very yummy, and the highlight of this trip is the belly dancing, Malek made sure that everyone come up on the stage and try some, someway he gets you do what he wants, but he took a good care of uswhen what he wants is the absolute fun you can get in this trip, the star gazing was terrific, our Astronomer was professional, the best moment in this trip when you the moon from a High-magnification telescope, feels like if someone is walking up there, I’ll be able to see him. On the way back to the hotel we offered malek some tip, but he said that Sharm club is your family in Egypt, you can’t tip your family, the guy is a credit to Sharm Club.
Can’t speak enough for Malek, the guys who gave us the best time in the world
Thanks Sharm club, you're highly recommended with no doubt.
