Cairo historical sites
During two days excursion to Cairo we will explore Giza Plateau and its famous Pyramids, come inside the workers tomb and wander in the Valley Temple of the Great Sphinx, next day we can visit Saqqara and its Step Pyramid built by king Josser or go to Islamic quarters of Cairo and discover the Citadel of Saladdin and a beautiful Alabaster mosque of Mohammed Ali.
On the way to Cairo
We do pick up from any hotel in Sharm el Sheikh. Pick up from your hotel as per the time stated in your invoice and transfer by a/c van to Sharm el Sheikh International Airport. Flight to Cairo will take 50 minutes. Our English speaking guide will be waiting for you upon arrival outside the main arrival hall of Cairo airport with the sign "Sharm-club.com". From the airport we will go to Cairo downtown to explore the Egyptian museum of Antiquities.
National Egyptian Museum
In the Museum we will discover not only its main collections of Old kingdom, Middle kingdom, New kingdom but also a world famous collection of King Tutankhamen with its golden mask and sarcophagi. The building of the museum is a historical monument itself already, built more than 100 years ago by a French architect. It houses the world’s largest collection of Pharaonic antiquities, and many treasures of King Tutankhamen. 120 000 pieces are exhibited there and we will visit all those collections. We will spend around 2,5 hours in the museum.
Felucca ride & Lunch time
After the Museum exploration let’s enjoy 45 minutes Nile felucca ride along the Nile. The boat will bring us directly to the restaurant where we will have lunch. Lunch will be offered in TGI Fridays on set menu basis where you can choose between options available: chicken or fish plus dessert.
Giza Plateau and the Pyramids
After the lunch we will continue our tour and move to Giza to discover one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient World: The great pyramid of Cheops! We will visit other pyramids of the area as well: the pyramid of Chephren and the pyramid of Mycerinus. We will end up our tour in Pyramids area after visiting Sphinx and its valley temple.
Shopping time & optional activities
At the end of the day we will get a chance for shopping in the area around the Pyramids. Visit of papyrus institute, perfume palace or cotton fabric will be available.
At the end of the first day we will drive you to The Oasis hotel, 4* on BB basis, where you will spend a night. Optionally in the evening you can do Nile Cruise & Dinner with Tanura show and belly dance on a floating hotel or Watch Sound & Light show at the Pyramids.
Saqqara Complex Visit
Next day after the breakfast in your hotel move to Saqqara complex to visit Step Pyramid of King Joser and other monuments of the area. Alternatively you can go to Cairo Citadel and the area around.
Tour in Old Cairo
Have lunch in a local restaurant in the city and continue the tour in Old Cairo where many old churches such as "Hanging” church, St. Sergio church and St. Barbara church are located. Jewish temple - synagogue of Ben Ezra, Amr Ibn Al Aas mosque - the 1st mosque ever built in Egypt and Roman fort – Babylon are also on the site. All these monuments you will find in one place.
Back to Sharm el Sheikh
At the end of the day we will transfer you to Cairo International Airport to catch your flight to Sharm el Sheikh. Our rep will meet you in Sharm el Sheikh Airport and transfer to your hotel.
